Guys, if your girlfriend drags you to this movie, dump her, immediately!  Seriously, this is quite possibly one of the worst films ever made. Quick recap of the story: Based in Manhattan, Molly Gunn (Murphy), daughter of a late rock musician leads a spoiled princess type life. Basically, her inheritance is stolen by her manager, leaving her penniless and desperate. After being kicked out of various places and selling off most of her belongings, she is forced to do the inevitable - get a job. She accepts a nanny position, which entails looking after the defiant, yet talented, Ray Schleine (Fanning). The eight-year-old is a pill popping, diet obsessed, cynical child, beyond her years. The storys a little predictable from there on out.

Molly teaches Ray how to be a kid while Ray teaches Molly how to be an adult. Zzzz. Molly does have the love interest, Neal, a singer/songwriter. If there ever was a pointless character, Neal fits the bill. Initially, Molly only wants Englishman Neal because she cant have him. Apparently, hes celibate. I think his English accent was supposed to make him hot (to us Americans anyway) but even that didnt help his case. Back to the enthralling Molly and Ray drama: towards the end, they both find out that they feel excruciatingly alone in the world, and avow the makings of a lifelong friendship. Do yourself a favor and waste your money on a cocktail instead. Itll be much more worthwhile.
