Well, what can I say? Just take a peek at the above cast and you know this movie is going to be impressive, and it is! A triumph for writer Tarantino and director Scott who have made a love story for the modern age (ish). A call girl falls in love with a guy at a cinema, he falls in love with her, they get married, then he shows his love for her by killing her pimp and his bodyguard, then takes a suitcase of uncut cocaine believing it to be her clothes. Seeing this as a blessing, they try to sell it off in one deal so they can fly off and live happily ever after. Things arent so simple however, as they have both the mob and the police on their tails, and its going to be a painful experience to say the least!

Its a straightforward enough plot, with lots of interesting bits thrown in, and thats how the movie is so effective. The direction is almost poetic in its brutality, the performances by all are sublime, with no clearly defined good or bad guys, and we can relate to it and enjoy it more. Some characters come and go in minutes, so you are left wondering who will survive to the end, especially the innocent-like Slater and Arquette who show beautiful on-screen chemistry, but both suffer incredible pain and escape death with incredible luck. Brad Pitt provides some sublime humour playing a pothead student-type in a few short, but extremely memorable scenes.

With Val Kilmer playing Elvis, an imaginary guardian angel to Slater, it just shows what type of movie this is, one that cannot really be classified easily, except for the unique Tarantino style.
I know Im not giving too much away, because if I start I wont stop. I enjoyed this movie a lot, and I urge you to see it. Now!
