A comedy from the SNL team which is so appallingly unfunny it should offend anyone with a sense of humour. Superstar has as thin a plot as you would expect, but none of the ideas or jokes to paper over the cracks. Molly Shannon is seriously annoying in the lead role as the weirdo schoolgirl who is determined that her fate is to be a superstar.
Nothing she does is remotely funny, her mannerisms and pratfalls an embarrassment and actually I think I�ll stop there before I get angry. Even Will Ferrell in a huge choreographed dance scene fails to raise the smile that A Night At The Roxbury managed to drag out of me |
