Comedy
Greg Focker (Stiller) is all set to propose to his girlfriend Pam Byrnes (Polo) when he discovers that her father Jack, (a freshly appropriate Robert DeNiro) appreciates the traditional touch of seeking his blessing and the offer of his daughters hand.

Pam and Greg travel to the Byrnes family home for a weekend stay, which coincides with preparations for Pams sisters wedding. Gregs mission is to appear to the over-protective father as the most suitable candidate to stand alongside his first-born angel at the altar, and what better way to begin by taking the 'perfect gift' with which to win over the retired florist; the bulb of a rare and beautiful flower.

However,
Happy Families soon turns into Dungeons & Dragons as all of Gregs good intentions turn sour, in a hilarious manner, due to a domino-effect of ludicrously funny mishaps. He discovers too that supposedly long-time flower shop owner Jack was actually in the CIA for over 30 years specialising in interrogation, or human lie-detection, so some of Gregs exaggerated truths soon go in his minus-column, created from the moment cat-lover Jack meets Greg and discovers he hates cats, including the Byrnes familys own toilet-trained over-spoilt ball of fur.

Gregs constant attempts to enter the Byrnes family circle of trust lead to a lot of laughs to be had by this film, which is a daft two hours of really good fun! If you fancy putting your feet up after a hard days work to a film that is not to be taken in the least bit seriously, this one will put a smile on your face and keep it there for a well invested two hours.
