The Lost Boys
USA, 1987
[Joel Schumacher]
Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Kiefer Sutherland
Comedy / Horror / Supernatural

Two brothers and their mother move to Santa Carla, a Californian coastal town and the brothers soon begin to realise that the local renegade band of bikers are more dead than alive. The eldest is augmented into the group, but can they destroy this nest of the undead before his soul is lost forever?

This film is so eighties it's untrue! However, not being a particular fan of Joel Schumacher movies (the atrocity of
Batman and Robin in particular), this movie rocks! So does the cool soundtrack, which is worth the price of the film alone. All characters stand alone as individuals however some are a bit too stereotyped. The special effects are ok for the time, but its the make up which stands out. To cut it short, if you dont enjoy this movie, you lack a sense of humour, taste, nostalgia, and above all, a life.
