Dumb and Dumber
USA, 1994
[Peter Farrelly]
Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Lauren Holly, Mike Starr
Comedy

For Lloyd (Carrey) and Harry (Daniels), life is not up to much. Their lives are run by dead-end jobs. Harry has turned his van into a huge furry dog, Lloyd drives rich people across town in his Limousine. The pair are possibly the dumbest people alive, and do not pick up on most of the situations around them. All to the viewer's advantage.

One day, when it all gets too much, the pair decide to embark upon an epic drive across the USA to return a briefcase to the beautiful Mary Swanson, who had left it in the airport after Lloyd had driven her there. Little do they know the briefcase contains ransom money for the return of Mary's husband. What ensues is a madcap set of adventures with the pair being chased by the unhappy bad guys. After deciding to spend the money on a lavish lifestyle in Aspen, everything eventually works out.

One of Jim Carrey's earliest big films and one of his best in my opinion. The pair work well together and pull off the characters perfectly. This is light-hearted fun at its best.
