| Great fight scenes, shame about the film. Three of Hong Kong's top martial arts stars, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, star in this slight tale of corrupt big business and violent fisticuffs. Chan is a lawyer who, while defending his low-life employers, falls in love with the chief prosecutor. When he starts digging deeper into the affairs of his clients he finds a murky world of drugs and pollution and also finds his life is in danger. And that's about it. Believe me, the whole film, script, dialogue and all, is completely secondary to the action which is absolutely magnificent, probably the best I've seen in any Hong Kong-Fu movie. I've tried watching it more than once all the way through but I always find myself fast-forwarding to the fight scenes, I would too if I was you. |
