Crocodile Dundee
Australia, 1986
[Peter Fairman]
Paul Hogan, Linda Kozlowski, John Meillon
Romance / Comedy

An American journalist hears of the heroics of a certain Mick J. Crocodile Dundee (Hogan) and believes she can find the story of the year covering it. Sue Chartman (Kozlowski) jets out to the middle of the bush in an attempt to find this Dundee fella, and lets say she gets more than she bargained for.

Hogans performance as Dundee is superb, mixing charm with his natural bush-man-like instincts to create the perfect tour guide. Chartman is very much lost in the sticks in that she is happy to rely on the incredible assurance given to her by Mick Dundee, even though at times we cant help think that some of the events are staged to make Dundee seem that bit braver than he actually is! It doesnt take long for Sue to fall in love with Mick, and soon persuades him to accompany her back to New York.

You know the saying about the fish and not being in the water? Well, this is pretty much exactly how Mick experienced his first visit to a city. Being not at all familiar with the area, Dundee uses his experience of Walkabout Creek, Australia to try and get by in New York, USA, but things dont always work the same way. The main problem he faces is the lingo, but its amazing how many situations can be solved by a quick left hook!

Sues father decides to throw a welcome home party for his daughter, and of course since Dundee saved her life out in the bush he was the special guest. To everyones surprise, Sues boyfriend Richard proposes to her and well Dundee wasnt exactly over the moon. Will Sue accept Richards proposal or will her attraction to the Crocodile Man prove too powerful?
