Who would've thought this kind of thing still gets made? And why exactly would a sensible, mature guy like myself rent it? I'll tell you why, it's because I am neither of those things and the cover had a zombie nun smashing through a wall on a motorbike. So let me now embark on a scene-by-scene critique and in depth exploration of the movie's main characters.

Actually, I'll instead tell you that it was frequently quite dire. The director obviously thought he could do a Sam Raimi and draw attention to himself by doing a jokey horror about a haunted house (or convent, in this case). And
The Evil Dead rip-offs come thick and fast, although the makeup looks less amateur (and so isn't as fun because it was never going to win Oscars anyway).

There are some quite funny moments, mostly from the fake son of Satan who actually works in a coffee shop and his sidekick, with an interesting idea for avoiding becoming a sacrificial virgin. However, the supposedly kick-ass post-menopausal character is just plain annoying and the film as a whole has very, very few original ideas. Raimi did it first and boy did he do it better
