Charlie's Angels
USA, 2000
[McG]
Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Bill Murray
Action / Comedy
Well we all know Charlie has three Angels, we also know that they are private investigators of sorts (and have their own show 70s style on Channel 5 at lunchtimes). The question is however, will the introduction Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore as the Angels make a difference?

The girls are called by Charlie to help with the disappearance of the inventor of a very high-tech voice recognition system (along with said inventor). Right from the beginning the whole thing is suspicious but there isnt quite enough to put your finger on just what it is.

The whole story is then basically trying to solve the mystery and although not quite in the same league as Inspector Morse, Inspector Frost or Agatha Christie, we do have the pleasure of being able to admire Diaz. Her every move gives something extra to the viewer, and well, the way she dances, fights and more importantly smiles lights up the screen. Liu, also well known for her ability to capture the attention of the male audience, but more importantly was the only of the trio who was able to fight kung-fu style before auditions started. Barrymore, well she has her own individual contribution to the Angels, its just we havent quite figured it out!

Charlies Angels is another in a long line of the James Bond and Indiana Jones type films, where even though the good guys are looking certain for defeat they always seem to find a way to win but what else could we possibly expect?! We all know that all will end in style, but in no means prevents us from enjoying what is on offer, that is a highly entertaining 100 or so minutes.
