So it was in the horror section, and directed by Hideo Nakata (Ring and Ring 2), not subtitled but I thought the visuals and atmosphere would make it worth a shot. Instead what I got was an old-style suspense movie with plot twists aplenty. It was still worth a watch though, even if I was always several steps behind each new revelation.

A businessmans wife is abducted while waiting for him outside a restaurant and the distraught man receives an anonymous ransom call. The film jumps around in time a fair bit, and it turns out that she has arranged the kidnap herself, along with a petty thief whose house she randomly turned up at (I couldve missed the exact reason why she knew him). When she later turns up dead in her apartment her accomplice panics and dumps the body, but later he sees her walking down the street. All very Hitchcock, with a femme fatale switching allegiance and motives throughout, to thoroughly confuse the two male protagonists. The ending was a little disappointing but keeping up with the plot was great fun. Dialogue probably sucks mind.
