RON'S FEATURE ARTICLE IN FOOD DAY MAGAZINE
Late in 1990 Ron and Martha were visited by Barbara Durbin of The Oregonian newspaper. She had heard that Ron was cooking in the household, almost exclusively using recipes from Food Day Magazine, published weekly by The Oregonian. The magazine editor wanted to run a feature article on husbands who took over the cooking duties. At the time Ms. Durbin visited, Ron had done 350 recipes from Food Day Magazine in the two years since he started cooking. To this day, most of the recipes Ron makes comes from Food Day Magazine.
