This was U2's first live album, it was released as a mini allbum. Some people said that it would be the end of U2 now that they made a live album (Old songs, so it was quick done.) The end was it not, more the beginning. The beginning of the video-age.
At first the whole concert from Red Rocks (USA) was supposed to come on video and LP, but when the LP was released there remained only 2 numbers from Red Rocks. The others numbers are live numbers from other places.
The concert in Red Rocks was nearly aborted becouse the rain, but Paul McGuinness decided to go on. On that night U2 played one of their most triumphant shows of their career, in the rain, for about 8000 people.
