It's nothing flash yet, but about 6-7 cubic meters of dirt have been dumped in the backyard for me to 'dream' a railway onto. That's an area 15m long by 5m wide about knee height deep! Unfortuantly I then had to had shovel most of it through a sieve to get all the old tree roots out of the dirt. You can see it sitting on the saw horses at the extreme left.
But its been done now (during the hottest summer on record for Christchurch!).
The bath (scored from a freind doing house renovations) will form the basis of a yet-to-be-designed water feature.
Next is the track plan, which gets modified almost nearly every time I see someone elses railway.
So all I can say for sure at this stage is that it will be having hills, a viaduct and a tunnel.
