The Old Putera Association (OPA) was established on January 12, 1971 to maintain the ties and friendship among former "Budak Boys" / Puteras of the Putera Division, Royal Military College.
The objectives of OPA are to maintain the ties and friendship amongst the Old Puteras, assist the unfortunate and less privileged of the Old Puteras and maintain the link with and promote the charter of the alma mater. In addition, it is also the objective of the OPA to realise its own building / clubhouse.
Over the last twenty four
years, the Association has come a long way and can claim to be one of the
most active if not THE MOST ACTIVE
of the old boys' association in the country. The OPA has held lunch / dinner
meetings / gatherings, sporting and social activities among the Old Puteras,
provided loans and assistance to needy Old Puteras to further their studies.
The Association has embarked on a number of projects and new activities
aimed at enhancing the image of the association and the espirit-de-corp
among its members. In addition, the Old Putera Association also held sporting
and social activities with the Present Puteras in the College, organised
career talks for them, provided support in the activities of the College
and most important, the Association did ensure that the OPA's views on
the charter of the alma mater be heard. (extracted from the official
