EXHIBITION SCHEDULE The RMC Paladins closed out their preseason schedule with three losses over the last week. Their first setback was a 6-3 loss against cross-town rivals the Queens Golden Gaels on Saturday 30 Sep. This game was the second in a back-to-back series and came on the heels of a 3-3 tie three days before. This game was part of ex-cadet weekend festivities at RMC. After that loss the Paladins took to the road as they headed to the Maritimes to play a couple of Atlantic University Sports (AUS) schools. On 5 Oct the St Marys Huskies hosted the Paladins. RMC could not get any offensive punch as they dropped a 5-0 decision to the Huskies. The next night the Paladins managed some goal scoring but still fell 6-3 against the University of PEI Panthers. RMC now heads back to Kingston in preparation for their opening weekend. They open the season against the York Lions on Friday 13 October at 1930 at Constantine arena. York had a 2-6 pre-season record. Their record is not a true indicator of the team as four of those losses came against NHL rookie squads and one loss was against NCAA Division One School Renneslear Polytechnical Institute. The second game of the weekend has RMC hosting the Brock Badgers. Brock went 2-0 in the preseason against OUA schools. |
