Concordia 6 RMC 1 stats After Saturdays tight contest against UQTR the Paladins had a bit of a let down as they lost 6-1 to the Concordia Stingers in the second game of their home stand. The Paladins were out shot 38-26 on home ice with Blair Robertson getting the starting nod for RMC. RMCs lone goal came off the stick of Jesse Bruni while the Stingers had six different scorers. Both teams were ineffective on the power play as RMC was 0 for 4 and Concordia was 0 for 2. 14 Feb UQTR 5 RMC 3 stats The Paladins faced a talented UQTR team at home on Saturday and came away with a tough 5-3 loss. Elliot Mould got the start for the Paladins but was chased at the 5 minute mark of the second period after letting in 3 goals on 10 shots. Blair Robertson came in and stopped 19 of 20 shots that he faced. Matthew Maurice who scored 2 goals and Nick Cregan who notched a goal and an assist led the Paladins offensively. Overall RMC was out shot 30-25 but UQTR needed an insurance marker late in the third with Robertson on the bench for the extra attacker. RMC was 1 for 4 on the power play while allowing on power play goal in 6 short-handed situations. 7 Feb ARMY 3 RMC 2 Army Press Release Game Stats Kingston Whig Standard Article In a tough hard fought battle the Paladins dropped a 3-2 decision to Army on Saturday in Kingston. RMC was out shot in the game with RMCs Blair Roberston stopping 27 shots. Army opened the scoring at 2:02 the first period on a goal by Seth Beamer. RMC equalized the contest on a power play goal by Matthew Maurice with assists from Mike Clark and Adrain Hartley. Army opened up a 3-1 lead in the second period with goals by Jon Garcia and a power play goal by Chris Garceau. RMC pulled with in one at 5:21 of the third period on a goal by Brent Maurice from Matthew Reid and Matt Maurice but could not get the equalizer with Blair Roberston on the bench for the final 1:04. The Paladins were trounced 7-1 on home ice Sunday afternoon. Queens double up RMC in the shot department out shoting RMC 56-28. Special teams wer a major factor in this game was RMC's loan goal was scored by Trevor Orriss on the power play. For the night RMC was 1 for 3 with the man adavantage while Queens went 4 for 6. The win moves Queens into first place in the division and the loss kept RMC in third one point up on the Ryerson Rams 31 Jan 2004 Queens 4 RMC 3 stats game summary In this years Carr-Harris Cup game the Queens Golden Gales managed to come out on top with a 4-3 victory in front of nearly 1500 fans at Jock Harty Arena. The game featured a tight offensive contest between the two Kingston teams. Queens was fighting for top spot in the Mid East Division while RMC was trying to distance themselves from Ryerson for the final playoff spot in the division. After a scoreless first period both teams erupted on offense with 3 goals in just over 2 minutes early in the second. At 3:15 Queens went up 1-0 and then at 4:40 they went up 2-0 on a powerplay goal. RMCs Nick Cregan pulled the Paladins within one at the 5:44 mark. In the third period Queens went up 3-1 at the 55 second mark and then put the game away at 19:05 with an empty net goal. Ryan Thebault made the game interesting by scoring with 8 seconds left to bring RMC back to within one. Elliot Mould was between the pipes for RMC and stopped 48 of 51 shots while RMC fired 42 shots on the Queens net. |
