| 10 Nov Concordia 8 RMC 5 stats The Paladins lost a wide open match against the Concordia Stingers 8-5 on Sunday. RMC was outshot 52-41 over the 60 minutes of the game. RMC connected on 2 of 5 powerplay chances while they were 1 for 1 in penalty killing. Louis Charland continued his hot scoring notching 2 assists. Brent Maurice led the way with 2 goals and an assist. 9 Nov UQTR 7 RMC 1 stats The Paladins dropped a 7-1 decision to the number 3 ranked UQTR Patriotes. The UQTR powerplay led the way notching 4 goals in 5 Manadvantages while they held the Paladins scoreless on 6 powerplay opportunities. John Haggis stopped 35 of 42 shots in his direction while RMC fired 22 shots on the UQTR net. 3 Nov Ottawa 9 RMC 0 stats In The second game of the road trip the Paladins were shut out by the Gee Gee's as Ottawa had 7 different goal scorers in a 9-0 shelling of the Paladins. RMC was again outshot as John Haggis turned away 34 of 43 shots he faced while the RMC offence Could only muster 28 shots at the Ottawa goaltender. RMC's powerplay continued to struggle as they were 0 for 8 on the man advantage while the RMC penalty killers allowed 3 power play goals killing 7 man disadvantages. 2 Nov McGill 7 RMC 1 stats The McGill Redmen avenged last years loss to the Paladins in convincing fashion as they got goals from 7 different skaters enroute to a 7-1 victory. The Paladins were outshot 37-33 and were a woeful 1 for 9 on the powerplay while they allowed only one McGill power play goal in 4 chances. The lone bright spot in the RMC line up was Louis Charland who continues his torrid pace netting his 5th goal and 9th point of the season to lead the team. 27 Oct Brock 6 RMC 2 stats In the Paladins second home game of the season they dropped a 6-2 decision to the Brock Badgers. The Badgers were comming off their first loss of the season against Queens and took it out on the Paladins. Some defensive breakdowns allowed the Badgers to score 3 breakaway goals on John Haggis. Haggis turned away 35 of 41 shots in the losing effort, while the RMC offense fired 35 shots towards the brock net. RMC was a dismal 1 for 11 on the powerplay while the penalty killers Kept the Brock Poerplay off the score sheet. 26 Oct RMC 4 York 4 stats The Paladins managed to earn their first points of the season with a 4-4 tie against the York Yoemen. The Paladins handled the number 6 ranked Yoemen in a game where the Paladins were outshot 56-26. John Haggis was outstanding in helping the Paladins earn their first point of the season. The team went 0 for 6 on the powerplay while killing all four short handed situations. Louis Charland netted a shorthanded goal while the RMC Power Play allowed a York shorthanded goal. 20 Oct Laurier 4 RMC 2 stats After last nights drubbing in Guelph the Paladins came out fired up for their second game. Bolsterd by the return of 2002 OUA second team all star Matt House, the Paladins played much better against Laurier, however, their imporved level of play did not lead to victory as they fell short against the Golden Hawks 4-2. Louis-Michel Charland and Eric Rheaume, his third of the season, scored for the Paladins as House added two assists. Haggis stopped 31 of 34 shots while RMC could only muster 21 against Laurier. The Golden Hawks gave themselves breathing room late in the game as they added an empty net goal with the Paladins pressuring to tie. The Paladins improved drastically on special teams going 2 for 8 on the power play while killing 5 of 6 penalties. 19 Oct Guelph 8 RMC 3 stats The Paladins opened up the 2002-03 campaign against the Guleph Gryphons in Guelph with an 8-3 drubbing. The Gryphons took advantage of the wide open style of play aided by their Olympic size home rink and outshot the Paladins 43-31. Rookie goaltender John Haggis, who played for the Olds Grizzlies in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) last year, was given a rough intorduction to OUA hockey. Haggis and former Grizzly teammate Pat McDonald could not lead the Paladins to a season opening victory as Eric Rheaume,2, and Adrian Hartley scored for the Paladins. RMC was 0 for 4 on the power play and allowed 3 powerplays goals against as Guelph went 3 for 4 on the power play.
