RMC 6 Concordia 5 (OT)  game stats

After
opening up a 4-2 lead against the Stinger, the Paladins allowed the Host team back into the game with 3 third period goals
the Paladins sent the game into overtime with a goal with less than one second remaining in regulation.  This goal allowed the team to carry the momentum into the extra period where they netted the winner to even their record at 3-3

    game stats

RMC visited the perennial powerhouse UQTR and lost 7-3.  After last years 1-1 tie against the Patriots this years score was a little disappointing.

On Saturday a well balanced Ottawa Gee Gee team rolled into Kingston and defeated the Paladins 5-1 in the Paladins home opener.  However the Paladins managed to bounce back on Sunday and defeat Kelly Nobes old team, the McGill Redmen, 3-1.  Tom Connerty stopped 40 Redmen shots as the Paladins have set a new team record by being .500 this late in the season...

Unable to carry the momentum into the second game of the weekend the Paladins lost a close game to the Yoemen 4-2 Sunday in York.  The game evens the Paladins record to 1-1

For the first time in team history the Paladins opened the OUA regular season with a win.  The visiting Paladins took advantage of some undisciplined Badger play and capatialized on their powerplay.  Tom Connerty made 22 Saves in the Paladins net to back stop the team to the

In the Paladins last exhibition game they wholloped the Carelton Ravens 11-1.  Completeley dominating the Ravens by outshooting and outhusteling them the Paladins ended the preseason off on the right foot and hope to carry the momentum forward to the regular season

The Paladins played a tough road game in Montreal against the Redmen and fought a tough battle losing 6-3. RMC played an effective game but did not get any bounces needed to get past the Redmen.

The Paladins came out like gangbusters on Saturday as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Brock Badgers in action at the Dutch Cup Tournament over the weekend.  The Paladins took advantage of Brock's undisciplined play as they scored a power play marker to take a 3-0 lead.  On the night RMC was 1-14 on the powerplay.  The Badgers managed to tie the game in the last minute of regulation with a screened point blast past Tom Connerty.  In overtime Connerty continued his spectacular stopping a clean breakaway to preserve the tie.  Connerty saved 48 of the 51 shots he faced in the game.  RMC's next game is this weekend in their season opener.

The Queen's Golden Gaels avenged last years playoff loss in convincing fasion last thursday night.  The Golden Gaels had their way with the Paladins in the teams first meeting of this season.  This was the opening game of the Dutch Cup tournament at Queens University.  RMC's next game is Sunday 14 Oct against the Brock Badgers

RMC Splits exhibition opener

  This past weekemd saw the Paladins host the Concordia Stingers on Saturday and Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday in the teams first action agains OUA team in the exhibition schedule.
  On Saturday the Paladins lost 4-1 to Concordia but managed to bounce back to defeat the Golden Hawks 3-2 on Sunday.  The 26 man roster was provided an opportunity to play together against some solid competition and to ease some of the new systems put into place by Knobes.  With 18 returnees, including starting goaltender Tom Connerty, and some new faces the team is starting to gel.
  RMC's next action is 11 Oct at Jock Harty Arena against Queen's in the opening game of the Dutch Cup Tournament.
