Former Redmen a Star in Football Country.

In a region that is better known for its college football than college hockey, former RMC Redmen Kyle Paul is making quite a name for himself on the University of Oklahoma campus.
In a season where the Sooners football program was in contention for the National Championship and played in the championship game, Paul has been able to grab a few headlines for himself.  The Oklahoma hockey program is in its inaugural season and has so far gone 10-0 in Division II play this year.
A big part of that has been the leadership and play of Paul who, at 29, is 10 years older than most of his teammates.  He has used his leadership to take the young team under his wings too much envy of former Redmen teammates. In addition to impressing his younger teammates and head coach Paul has become a local fan favorite.  Known as Serial Killer, hes has become the fan favorite with a small but dedicated fan club.
Paul played for RMC from 1994-1998.  At RMC he was twice selected to an All-Star team to play the Canadian National Junior Team.  Prior to playing at RMC Paul played for two years for the Flin Flon Bombers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
After graduating from RMC in 98, Paul went on his Air Weapons Controller course and then was posted to Tinker Air Force base in Oklahoma.  At Tinker Paul flies as part of an AWACS crew.  His tours have had him flying over North America within hours after the Sep 11, 2001 attacks as well as many hours flying in the Persian Gulf region as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, which was the US war on terrorism.
In his spare time, Paul has enrolled in a Masters program at the University of Oklahoma, which has allowed him to use his final year of college eligibility to play on the team.  Prior to the stand up of the team, Paul was playing senior hockey in Oklahoma and coaching a local High School Club Team.
