| 1 June RMC SIGNS TWO MORE PLAYERS Adam Briggs (Pictou, NS) - Charlottetown Abbies (MarJHL). Briggs is a Goaltender, a 2-time CJHL All-Star and 2-time Team MVP of the Brockville Braves, and was the Team MVP of the Charlottetown Abbies for the 2004-05 season. He joins former Brockville teammates Matt Milberry and Sean Dickson with us. Ryan Lahie (Hamilton, ON) - Thorold Blackhawks (GHJHL). Lahie is a power forward who led the Jr B Golden Horseshoe League in scoring in 2002-2003. He sat out this past year to complete his Police Foundations Diploma at Niagara College. 9 May RMC ANNOUNCES THE SIGNING OF FOUR MORE PLAYERS The RMC Paladins varsity hockey program is proud to announce the signing of four more players for the upcoming 2005-06 OUA hockey season. Matt Fetzner of the Royal Bank Cup Champions Weyburn Red Wings in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is the second member of his family to join the Paladins. He is following in the footsteps of his older brother Duaine who joined RMC last year. Prior to joining the Weyburn Red Wings Fetzner played parts of 4 seasons in the WHL with the Lethbridge Hurrincanes, Portland Winter Hawks and Saskatoon Blades. In 52 games with the Red Wings, Fetzner had 3 goals, 13 assists and 158 penalty minutes. Sean Dickson comes from the Brockville Braves in the Central Junior Hockey League. The 6�2�� 215lbs defenseman tallied 3 goals and 7 assists and 100 penalty minutes in 52 games last season. Matt Millberry joins his Brockvill teammate Dickson at RMC for the 2005-06 season. Milberry netted 10 goals, 18 assists and 127 penalty minutes last year. The 5�9� 170 lbs forward will add scoring depth to the Paladins this year. Adam Purdy is a 6�1� 210 left winger from the Kanata Stalliions of the Central Junior Hockey League. In 55 games last year Purdy had 9 goals and 27 assists and 116 minutes in penalties. With all four players RMC adds some size to its line up to match that of their opponents who draw a large number of their players from the OHL and QMJHL 4 May 2005 RMC signs Paul Bradley RMC has signed forward Paul Bradley of the Canmore Eagles of the AJHL and goalie Matt Hartney formerly of the St Albert Saints and University of Sasketchewan Huskies. Bradley led the Eagles in scoring in 2004-05 with 29 Goals and 28 assists for 54 points in 64 games. Bradley was named the MVP of the AJHL all-star game. "We are very excited that Paul has committed to RMC," said Head Coach Kelly Nobes, "we expect Paul to jump right into our line up as one of our top offensive threats." Matt Hartney is a transfer from the University of Saskatchewan where he played in 2003-04. Prior to that he played with the St Albert Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League where he was named the leagues top goalie in 2001-02. |
