GAME TWO

QUEENS 3 RMC 2    stats

In a close fought game in which RMC had to win, the Paladins fell just short as they were defeated 3-2 at home by Queens.  RMC was outshot 36-35 in the game and got goals from Matt Reid and Eric Reheaume while Queens got goals from Jay Gosselin, Mark Norman and Andrew Haussler.  John Hagis recorded the loss for RMC while Matt Kenny got the win.  RMC was 0 for 2 on the powerplay while Queens went 1 for 3.  The loss ends a promising season for RMC.  After a rough start RMC managed to get on a role in the second half the included a tough loss against West Point.  For several Paladins this marked their last collegiate hockey game gone are seniors Shannon Goudie, Eric Reheaume, and Matt Reid.  Next year looks to be promising with several key players returning such as Goalie John Haggis, Forwards Pat McDonald and Louis Charland and defenseman Matt House.

GAME ONE

QUEENS 4 RMC 1    stats

On the road for Game One of the OUA Mid East Seni-Final the Paladins were defeated by Queens 4-1 on Wedensday night.  In front of a large crowd RMC could not muster a solid offensive attack.  RMC was 0 for 4 on the power play while they allowed Queens to score on 1 of 4 power plays.  Pat McDonald scored the lone marker for RMC unassisted while Queens got goals from Aaron Fransen, 2 goals, Mark Norman and Matthew MacDonald.  Matt Kenney got the win for Queens.  Game Two is Friday 19 Feb at 1930 on the RMC campus at Constantine arena.
