HOW TO MAKE SOUL CALIBUR II'S XIANGHUA'S SWORD

*WARNING!* This is just a really ghetto, yet effective way to achieve the look of Xianghua's sword. Both me (Tal) and Tin are sure that a lot of other cosplayers could make this sword, more accurate, by scratch, but as budget minded cosplayers, this is how we do it! So please no flames or rants saying "this is not a real tutorial." We realize that, but I'm putting it up anyway just in case you didn't realize this lovely shortcut. Enjoy!

Material Needed:
* 1 Party City Depot (lol)
* 1 Chinese Imperial OR Ninja plastic sword
* 1 yard of blue rope/cord
  (or at least enough to wrap around the hilt of the word)
* 1 strand of blue ribbon 6 in long
* at least 10 strands of ribbon about 4 in long
  (can be all blue for accuracy or various colors like ours)

Procedures/Steps To Make:
Okie here we go with this funny tutorial!

1) Run down to the nearest Party City Depot or halloween costume shop!

2) Find a plastic sword that looks, well like Xianghua's! I won't lie to you, my sister and I were lucky. The sword was only about $5 and resembles Xiagnhua's sword pretty damn well, if I do say so myself! For an idea, it looks like a Chinese Imperial's sword or maybe even a classy Ninjas (do classy ninjas even exists xD??) Try to look for a golden hilt, if it has a dragon like ours, then YAY! because I think it looks awesome and like something Xianghua would carry around n__n Remember nothing TOO big, or else the con you're going to might take it away (NOOOO!!) Anyway, this is a good idea because A) it's plastic and lightweight B) it can cause no threat so the convention police can't restrict it and C) it's so darn affordable, quick, and easy if you're in a rush!

3) Wrap the blue cord around the hilt of the sword and glue or tie the end down.

4) Tie the 6 in ribbon at the end of the hilt so it hangs when you hold the sword up ^^!

5) Tie at least 10 strands of 4 in long ribbon to the 6 in long ribbon. The more 4 in long ribbons, the prettier!

6) Sit and admire your easy 30 min sword!
