  The Bakers of Edgmont Francis Yarnall immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1683. His future wife, Hannah Baker, came to Pennsylvania from Shropshire, England, in 1684. Hannah's niece, Dorothy Baker, wed Francis' brother Philip. Both Hannah and Dorothy are members of the Baker family of Edgmont Township, Chester Co., Penn.

Quaker history & information The two immigrant brothers to Pennsylvania in 1683, Francis and Philip Yarnall, were both members of the Religious Society of Friends. Their children and grandchildren, and many other descendants, were brought up in that religious faith.
