Rich On The Go

Hi, I'm Rich Pollner & this is my Running web
site. On April 21, I will finally have the opportunity to fulfill a goal I’ve
dreamed of for a long time – run the Boston Marathon. In order to get to this
point, I’ve spent 4 years training and have run 5 marathons. This past
November, I qualified by the slimmest of margins: less then 30 seconds. A long time ago, I promised myself that if I made it into
Boston, I would do something for others. So, I have decided to run for the
Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Society - Team in Training. The Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society is a non-profit, voluntary health organization whose mission is
to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and other cancers of the blood.
The money we raise goes to research, public and professional education,
advocacy, patient aid and community services programs. Team in Training has
paired me up with three Leukemia patients. They are 11 year old Susan Johns, 9
year old Joey Cialkowski and 28 year old Amy Rice. Trust me, after hearing some
of their stories - running 26.2
miles isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Each Team in Training Member has committed to raise money
to help continue the great work and research done by the Leukemia &
Lymphoma’s Society. Now comes the part where I need YOUR help. I pledge to
continue to train 40 to 65 miles a week (in spite of the freezing cold &
snow) and will complete Boston. In
return, I would appreciate if you would sponsor my efforts by donating money to
this cause. Your support would mean
a lot to me personally and a tremendous amount to those who benefit from your
donations. Remember – any donation is appreciated and all donations are 100%
tax deductible. If you wish to support this cause, please forward me your mailing address ([email protected]) so that I can send you a donor card. Please periodically check back on this site for updates. -Web by LexaBean: www.lexabean.com-
