I figured that since I was the editor of the "Rocky Horror Review" I figured I should set an example and write a review and since my life needed a break I figured I should get away and end my Rocky withdrawals. With my visit to see Crazed Imaginations in the North County of San Diego, I got my wish.
To be honest this cast is one of the best shows I have ever seen. With a theater dating back to the 1920's and a cast full of energy, it would be hard to find another show as good. The cast is never played by the same people twice in a row so every time you go to the show you are entitled to a new experience. In my case the cast was totally female with the exception of Frank N Furter, Played by Ryan and Riff Raff played by Jason.
The performances were incredible. Ryan's version of Frank got my attention from Sweet T. till the end of the floor show and best of all was Kate's performance of Brad Majors, which I was told was her first time playing the part, even though she seemed nervous in the beginning, she played it better than most seasoned pro's I have seen over the years.
The one thing that got my attention overall was the fact that during the preshow, They had Laura, their Cast's Trixie, Sign the Dialog of the Preshow for the hearing impaired.
Over all this show was worth the 200 mile round trip I drove to see the show and If you are in the San Diego area and are dying to see Rocky. I truly recommend that you make the trip up to Encinitas to see this cast in action. The cost of admission is $6 and well worth it. So click the link to the web page and get directions.
