Zero Effect has zero success in trying to be an entertaining movie. There is nothing I liked about this film. It has a dull plot and the characters are practically invisible. I was totally lost by the story line, it jumped in 20 different directions and could never focus on one thing.

Bill Pullman is a private investigator, but the trouble is the things he is investigating are so boring that you just simply don't care what happens. Ben Stiller is also in the picture. He works for Pullman, but his character comes off as a lame, bland performance. I really thought he'd provide some comedy, but the dry script wouldn't know a funny line if it were hit directly in the face with one. The comedy the movie does try to show just isn't amusing at all.

I felt as though I was in prison and my sentence was to watch this film. As much as I hate to say it, the movie could probably reform many law-breakers. They would surely never want to get in trouble and then have to be subjected to such retched material. This uninvolving film just plain stinks.
