The Waterboy (1998)
CAST: Adam Sandler, Kathy Bates, Henry Winkler
DIRECTOR: Frank Coraci
MPAA RATING: PG-13
RUNNING TIME: 86 Minutes
STUDIO: Touchstone

Poor Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler), he's the waterboy no one likes or wants. He gets a chance to play college football at SCLSU when the coach discovers his freakish temper. Bobby can tackle like no other and helps this woeful team regain success.

Full of all kinds of schtick comedy, The Waterboy is below average material. The laughs are great, but they're too far apart. Sandler looks like he's worrying about his baby talk more than trying to act funny on camera. The best parts are his tackles. I just wished the other jokes were as hysterical.
