MPAA RATING: R
RUNNING TIME: 97 Minutes
STUDIO: New Line Cinema

This movie is strange in some ways, but makes a lot of sense in others. The characters, which are very witty and unique in their own way, are easy to get to know. Dustin Hoffman takes most of the limelight in this awkward comedy about the Presidential Election. The President, who is accused of being too nice to a young girl in his office, needs some help if he is to win the election. By this accusation, he could drop in the polls.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert DeNiro offer their services as the ones who will bail out the headman. They do this by creating a "fake" war, so it will take the attention from the accusation by the young girl and give him a better chance of winning the race. As the story goes along, the laughs pile up. Hoffman is hilarious with is subtle comedy and DeNiro is as equally impressive. The plot makes you wonder if this is based on a true story. It would seem to be, since many elections always have some sort of scandal revolving around it.
