"Vertical Limit" opens similar to another rock climbing movie, "Cliffhanger". Except in this opening, there is no suspense and the believability factor is set around zero. In fact, the ending has no suspense and is not believeable. Come to think of it, everything in between is about the same as well.

This large production is wasted by some cardboard acting and a less-than-stellar script. Oh, it also stars Chris O'Donnell and Robin Tuney, two of the worst actors working today.

Thankfully, Bill Paxton is also cast, although with this limited screen-time, he avoids any criticism. Though his parts are the only ones worth watching.

There are the occasional explosions and a bit of tension, but it's all pointless. The supporting characters are more annoying than helpful. The effects look real sometimes, and laughable at others.

Why bother telling the plot when I know you'll hate this movie. I did.
