True Lies (1994)
CAST: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, Bill Paxton
DIRECTOR: James Cameron
MPAA RATING: R
RUNNING TIME: 141 Minutes
STUDIO: 20th Century Fox

Harry Tasker (Arnold) is a secret U.S. spy who must risk his life to stop terrorists from having a nuclear field day on the U.S. His job is so secret that his wife (Curtis) thinks he's a computer salesman. Once she figures out what's going on, she helps him to stop the bad guys.

If it's action you crave, then it's action you'll get. James Cameron directed the film, so you know there are going to be plenty of fireworks. The film is very loud as well, especially on dvd. There are 5 action scenes and they get bigger and bigger as the movie goes along. What's surprising about the film is its added humor. That's what makes it a step above the usual no-brain explosions-galore action movie. It's Cameron at his best.

Arnold does a good job as well. He's in fine action form as he kicks some terrorist butt. Thrown into the mix is Tom Arnold, who plays Schwarzenegger's sidekick. He supplies the comedy and has some very funny one-liners. Bill Paxton, who's worked with Cameron on several occasions, is a slimey car salesman. He's quite funny.

This one is not to be missed. A huge hit at the box office, TRUE LIES will have you begging for more. Cameron doesn't disappoint. Perfect for action fans and fans of Mr. Muscle. Has some of the best action scenes to date. Great f/x!
