THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is a movie that feels like a documentary. A documentary about death. It has several disturbing images. The movie really isn't a big scarefest like HALLOWEEN, rather, it's a movie that leaves you an uneasy feeling after watching it. It's one scary movie that you won't forget. The gore is actually kept to a minimum, unlike its stupid sequels.

This movie has a large cult following, much like THE EVIL DEAD gang. Director Tobe Hooper (POLTERGEIST, SALEM'S LOT) knows how to grab the audience. His Leatherface character puts the "f" in fear, and the "p" in power tools. 'MASSACRE' is a frigtening experience that thankfully lasts only 84 minutes.
