| Speed was a huge box office hit when it was released in '94. You know the story, "stay above 50, or the bomb will explode." Keanu Reeves buffs up for the role of Jack Traven and kicks major butt in his best role ever. Sorry, but he's better here than he was in The Matrix. Bullock is sassy as always, and Hopper, though over-the-top, enjoys his role of the madman bomber. Lots of intensity, plenty of excitement, and tons of action make Speed one of the best blockbusters ever. Just make sure not to see its sequel. |
