Harrison Ford and Anne Heche survive a plane crash and are forced to hang around on a deserted island. In this romantic comedy, Heche works for a New York magazine and she's taking a vacation with her fiancee, played by David Schwimmer. Ford is the pilot who takes them to the island. When Heche is forced to go to another island for a photo shoot, she and Ford begin their journey. Both are hilarious on the big screen and work very well together. Without them, this movie would drown very quickly.
Ford holds steady with another good performance, but it's Heche's witty, spicy character that's the prize in this movie. Schwimmer is in the movie for one-liners only. Ford and Heche also have to deal with some mean pirates, who are in this adventure only to take up space and add a useless subplot. The stranded duo begin to fall for each other as they risk their life trying to get back to safety. Aside from the pirates' 15 minutes of fame, this movie will keep you interested. |
