"Shanghai Noon" is the Western version of "Rush Hour", Chan's last US film. This film wasn't near as successful as his previous mega-hit, probably because Chris Tucker isn't as popular as Owen Wilson. Despite the similar storyline as "Rush Hour" (Chan is rescuing another girl, this time a princess played by Lui), "Shanghai Noon" still has plenty of laughs and more exciting stunts by Chan.

Owen Wilson is the comic relief/sidekick in this go-around. He seems to be getting funnier in his roles and is just short of being a big star. He plays a clumsy cowboy, who tries to show Chan how to act in the West. But he doesn't succeed that well.

The 2 get thrown in jail, fight off the bad guys, and take turns trading shots with each other during a bizarre, yet hysterical Chinese drinking game, which is the funniest scene in the movie.

Don't expect alot of depth here. It's another Jackie Chan action/comedy that may not offer as much as "Rush Hour", but it's just as fun.
