| THE ROCK is another blockbuster action/thriller from the team of Bruckheimer and Bay. When a vengeful General (Ed Harris) takes over Alcatraz and threatens to launch missiles on San Francisco, it's up to one man to stop them. That man is Sean Connery, the only prisoner to successfully escape from Alcatraz. Now he must break back in to save the hostages and stop Harris. He's assisted by chemical expert Nicolas Cage, who is coming off an Oscar win. This movie has slam-bang action and some very intense moments. The movie is a tad too long (136 minutes), but the frantic pacing and the mind-blowing action will keep your complaints to a minimum. |
