PREDATOR is a sci-fi classic. It's also pretty darn good in the action department. When a special army force is sent in to a Central American country to rescue hostages, they run into a being for more superior than they are. The predator begins to knock off the group one at a time, with gruesome results. It's up to Arnold to stop him before he's next.
This movie is fun to watch. Though the dialogue is a bit elementary with cheesy one-liners, the movie doesn't faulter. There's not many action movies that have good dialogue. This movie boosted Arnold's career as action hero. The special effects were super, especially that of the predator. He has to be one of the best alien creatures in recent cinema history. Director John McTiernan is definitely known for action (see Die Hard). Lots of guns blasting and blood gushing. That's the way we like it. You have to see a big dumb action movie here and there. |
