| This is a terrific movie. Jack Nicholson plays a soon-to-be jailbird who fakes his way into a mental hospital in order to stay clear of a cell. He delivers one of the finest performances I've seen. Louise Fletcher plays the nurse who's in charge of Jack and his fellow crazies. She spells the word tyrant, as she is about as dictating as you can imagine. Others of note in the movie are Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd. Both do a nice job of being out of their minds. This movie took home the 4 aces of the Academy Awards: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture. |
