| Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) |
| CAST: Robin Williams, Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan
DIRECTOR: Chris Columbus MPAA RATING: PG-13 RUNNING TIME: 120 Minutes STUDIO: 20th Century Fox |
| Chris Columbus is known as a director who can produce a family hit (Home Alone). He does it again, this time with Robin Williams, in one of his funniest roles. He has done some comedies that are all-out bombs (Jack, Fathers Day), but who hasnt appeared in bad movies. In this film, Williams gets divorced by his wife (Sally Field). After she temporarily wins custody of the children, Williams must find a way to be near them. After Field places an ad in the paper for a housekeeper, Mrs. Doubtfire is born. Williams is hilarious playing the old housekeeper. There are plenty of hysterical scenes. Definitely a movie that the whole family can enjoy and one that is entertaining throughout. |
