Midnight Cowboy (1969)
CAST: Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight
DIRECTOR: John Schlesinger
MPAA RATING: R
RUNNING TIME: 113 Minutes
STUDIO: United Artists

A young hustler (Jon Voight) is on his way to New York City to find lots of women and money to hustle. He dresses as a cowboy because he thinks that will attract the ladies, but instead it attracts other kinds of people. Voight is solid in this role. He is pleasant to watch and offers a funny character too.

Hoffman is a crippled low-life who scams Voight after they first meet. Later though, they develop a friendship and begin to use their wits together in order to hustle others' money.

The film has quite a few strange-looking scenes and sometimes is a bit hard to follow if you don't pay 100% attention. In all, the story is very good with friendship and trust playing a part in the plot. Plus, the movie has 2 great actors in the lead. And those 2 both received Oscar nominations for their performances.
