The kings of adult gross-out humor, The Farrelly Brothers, are back again with their latest tale out of Rhode Island. This one features Jim Carrey, working with the Farrellys again, as a cop with a split personality. He's good guy Charlie, and bad ass Hank.

Before Carrey became a police officer, we see that he has been divorced. And all of that anger stays locked up inside for years. After being on the force for awhile, he realizes the town doesn't appreciate him. Each time he's made fun of, that anger inside builds up and eventually Hank appears.

Enter Renee Zelwegger, a suspected criminal who must be escorted to New York by Carrey to get some charges cleared in her name. But of course, her ex-boyfriend is behind the whole mess and it gets she and Carrey into lots of trouble.

The Farrellys comedy gets more extreme with each adventure. "Dumb & Dumber" wasn't too crude, "Kingpin" got a little raunchy, "There's Something About Mary" had its gross moments, and now we get "Me, Myself & Irene", which continues to show how smart the brothers are when they're busy writing the scripts. The end credits are hilarious and probably the best thing about the movie.

Like every other Farrelly movie, this one features lots and lots of sight gags, with each one pushing the envelope even further. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, and a really funny gag involving Carrey's swollen nose. This is the Jim Carrey we really want to go see, the one that makes us laugh, and not the one that we appreciate for dramatic acting.
