Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are convicted of a murder they didn't committ. They're sentenced to life and things go from there. There's no need to mention the plot because it's useless to talk about. Ted Demme tries to make this into a drama, but he fails miserably. He fails because he has comedic actors in the lead. Murphy and Lawrence are completely wasted. The supporting cast is weak, as well are the intended jokes. If you want to watch a drama about prison life, rent THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.
