| This $170 million hit was Carrey's first attempt to play a normal human being. At times, there's a tad too much mush, but for the most part, there are plenty of scenes to laugh at. Carrey has a blast as the now-honest lawyer, with lots and lots of physical comedy, al la Jerry Lewis. The movie obviously works best when Carrey is forced to tell the truth. The courtoom scenes are hysterical, and make sure and watch the credits, as they offer some very funny outtakes. |
