| Family drama about a mother (Meryl Streep) who leaves her husband (Dustin Hoffman) and her young son (Justin Henry) on a journey to find out who she is. Hoffman and Streep are A Card performers and they are at the top of their game in this very moving film. It�s great to see how Henry and Hoffman begin to develop a good relationship. The movie reaches its climax when Streep wants her son back and she and Hoffman have to do battle in court. Smartly written and directed, this is a solid movie with solid performances. Most of all, it delivers a solid message about divorce. This film won the Oscar for Best Picture and Hoffman (Best Actor) and Streep (Best Supporting Actress) also won Academy Awards. |
