When it comes to scary movies, Halloween reigns king. The "Halloween" series has had its share of sequels, 5 to be exact. But in my book, there are only 2 sequels, Halloween 2 and Halloween H20. If Jamie Lee Curtis isn't in it, it's not Halloween. Seeing her face back in this genre is a breath of fresh air. She shines as she steps back in to her most famous role.

It's been 20 years since she and Michael Myers last met, on October 31, 1978 to be exact. Each year she has wondered if he will come back once more. On October 31, 1998, he returns one more time. And this final moment is definitely one to remember. The setting isn't quite the same as the original, but everything else is similar. There aren't 20 dead bodies in this one, much like the ones in parts 3-6, but remember, they aren't considered part of this series, at least that's the way I see it. It has the same eery feel as the original. This movie is far better than the other 5 sequels.

The film also has a couple of interesting things in it. For one, it had the original car from Psycho in it, the same car that was driven from the first scream queen, Janet Leigh, who has a part in the film. And two, in the movie Scream, there was a part when it showed a bunch of teens watching Halloween. In this movie, director Steve Miner returns the favor and shows 2 teens watching Scream 2, hence a little payback. I thought those 2 points were very intriguing. And they are but only 2 small portions that help make this movie an excellent sequel. This is the 3rd and final installment in the "true" Halloween Series.
