You know the story of the knife-weilding maniac who's after his sister. Michael Myers is a cinematic legend in the horror genre, because he never goes away. Granted, most of the sequels are pretty lame, but the original is one of the greatest horror films of all-time. Carpenter managed to scare us with goreless scenes and music.
