The lack of suspense and a semi-average plot lowered the rest of the quality of this film. Embeth Davidtz plays a woman whose afraid her insane father (Robert Duvall) is after her. Though Duvalls role is small, he still does a very nice job. Kenneth Branagh is the attorney who is on Davidtz case and the one who is out to protect her. I think anyone could have played his role. He didnt show any special skills as an actor, just the usual. Robert Downey Jr. plays a detective who is also helping with the case.
Finding good things in this picture may be a little difficult. It looked as though the director ran through the motions. Although there are a few surprises and maybe one eye-opening scene, this is nothing more than average. |
