This is #12 on the Bond list. Roger Moore, who looks a bit long in the tooth in this adventure, still manages to give an above average performance. He still offers the usual somewhat funny one-liners. And he may be the best Bond that offered up the smirks. The car chase seen shows Moore give a tiny nod of the head to one of the bad guys before they ram him right off the road. It's quite funny.
After the success of the sci-fi oriented MOONRAKER, the producers decided that EYES should be less about style and more about stunts. And they achieved that goal. The action is very exciting, with the motorcycle ski chase and the finale being the highlights. Had Moore not been Bond so many times, he would have probably been liked more by most fans. His sense of humor, thought funny, often made 007 more of a comedian than a super-agent. Still, he doesn't falter in this 12th go-around.
