Sean Connery is a master thief and he'll do anything to get what he wants. An insurance investigator (Zeta-Jones) has a plan to trap Connery and bring him to justice. For bait, Zeta-Jones wants Connery help her steal a priceless mask. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. Her real goal is to achieve a multi-billion dollar heist that will help them both. A game of cat-and-mouse is played between the two leads. The question is, who can be trusted and who can't?
ENTRAPMENT was a pleasant surprise. I thought it was going to be another run-of-the-mill thriller. Instead, it's a very smart ride in the art of stealing. It's not often that you root for the bad guys, but anytime you're dealing with mega-stars Connery and Zeta-Jones, you can't help yourself. Those 2 command a lot of presence on screen. They are movie stars who are as smooth as they come. Connery with his always Bond-esque and Zeta-Jones with her appearance. This will keep your eyes wide open, as there are tons of twists and turns in the story. Will Patton and Ving Rhames offer their services in supporting roles. Just don't get caught in the trap of trying to figure out who's tricking whom. |
