| The reason why this is one of the better gangster films is because of its characters' performances. The chemistry between Pacino's aging wise guy, Lefty, and Depp's up-and-coming mobster Donnie Brasco is solid. If you didn't know going in that the Brasco character was an undercover FBI agent, you'd assume Brasco was the son of Lefty, a father just showing his kid the ups and downs of being a wise guy. |
